Description
Aluminum Oxide (Open Coat) – 24 to 400 Grit
For sanding wood, where loading (clogging) is an issue. with anti-static and anti-loading properties.
Used for resinous woods, paints, or finishes.
Aluminum Oxide (Closed Coat) – 24 to 400 Grit
Heavy-duty X-Wt cloth backing offers a balance of strength and flexibility designed for high-pressure production without stretching or tearing. Used in both wood and metalworking.
Used for aggressive stripping, flattening hardwoods, high-pressure machine sanding, or light metalwork.
Zirconia Alumina – 24 to 120 Grit
Tough, durable grains for extended life on high pressure applications. Continually sharp cutting surfaces provide excellent cut in finishing and polishing applications.
Additional grinding aid to reduce friction and premature breakdown where heat generation is of concern.
• Aggressive, sharp cut on stainless steel
• Dissipates heat and resists loading
• Thousands of crystals that fracture
• Self-sharpening grain provides more aggressive cut and longer life than AO under reasonably light pressure
S/C Waterproof -36 to 1000 Grit
Silicon Carbide grains provide a sharp, fine cut. Use with water or lubricants for much
finer finishing and polishing.
• Hardest of all common abrasive materials and very sharp
• Self-sharpening grains
• Fast cutting, but shorter in life
• Ideal for use on woods, plastics and non-ferrous metals (Aluminum, brass, bronze, magnesium, and titanium).
